Chilean Cobalt Corp. is a U.S. based critical minerals exploration and development company focused on the La Cobaltera / El Cofre cobalt-copper project in northern Chile’s San Juan mining district, one of the world’s few primary cobalt districts.

COMPANY HISTORY

2026 | Received new $375 million Letter of Interest from US EXIM Bank for the La Cobaltera / El Cofre project.

2026 | First Rare Earth Carbonate Concentrate Production for NeoRe Project; Completion of Phase 1 Work Program under Earn-in and Option Agreement.

2026 | Completion of follow-on strategic equity investment by Glencore and Madesal SpA.

2026 | Signs Binding Earn-in and Option Agreement for NeoRe Rare Earth Project in Southern Chile.

 

2025 | Completion of initial strategic equity investment by Glencore and Madesal SpA.

 

2025 | Entered Offtake Arrangement with Glencore for 100% of cobalt and copper from La Cobaltera and El Cofre projects.

2025 | Finalized a definitive agreement with Cobalt Chile SpA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Talamore Mining Corp. (TSX: TALA) to acquire a 100% interest in 3,742 hectares of exploitation claims in the historic San Juan district. The acquisition includes the El Cofre copper-cobalt-gold project, as well as additional properties in the La Cobaltera project area, which increases Chilean Cobalt's mining concessions in the region to a total of 6,377 hectares - up from its current 2,635 hectares.

2025 | Added to corporate team with Andy Sloop as Chief Sustainability Officer and Dr Lawrence W. Snee as Executive Vice President of Exploration.

 

2024 | Progressed Letters of Interest with US EXIM Bank, Glencore AG, and US Strategic Metals for potential project financing, cobalt-copper offtake, and domestic US processing.

2023 | Achieved public listing in the US (OTCQB:COBA) and expanded magnetic imaging to cover owned greenfield concessions

2022 | Restarted exploration and development activities at La Cobaltera.

2020 - 2022 | Reduced activity at La Cobaltera due to pandemic-related site accessibility interruptions, and unfavorable market conditions.

2018 - 2019 | Conducted the first modern exploration campaign at La Cobaltera with district-level focus.  Along with Chilean Cobalt Corp’s independent technical consultant, SRK Consulting, Chilean Cobalt Corp. completed geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, mineralogical studies, and geological mapping. Following, this the Company drilled 96 holes totaling 21,943 meters at La Cobaltera.

2018 - 2020 | Actively consolidated its position in the San Juan District with focus on the La Cobaltera cobalt-copper project area.

2017 | Chilean Cobalt Corp. was formed as a US Incorporated company.
